Whenever I am trying to edit a page from "Route 66: Pages" I get this message:The webmaster has forbidden your access to this siteFYI - I also have "Securitycheck" plugin installed - but I cannot find anything that should be the reason for this message.

Hi,

This message usually means that the Securitycheck extension (or another security/firewall extension on the site) is blocking Route 66 when it tries to access the page.

For reference, Route 66 simply uses your server’s PHP environment to request and analyze the page content, similar to a normal internal page request. If Securitycheck has any firewall, URL filtering, or exclusion options, it would be worth adding exclusions for Route 66.

Also, please check the following:

  • Go to Route 66 → Options → Advanced
  • Verify that the “Site URL” option is set correctly to your current domain

If the issue continues, please let me know which exact page URL triggers the error and whether disabling Securitycheck temporarily changes the behavior.

Best regards

Hi!Yes, the site URL is there and correct.I tested to disable Securitycheck and then it worked fine. Then I enabled Securitycheck again - and added my IP to the whitelist and now it works as well.I guess that probably should not be required - but it works now.

Hi,

Great, thanks for the update.

This confirms that Securitycheck was blocking the requests made by Route 66. In this case, whitelisting your IP solved the issue because the page analysis requests are executed through your current session/IP.

Ideally this should not be necessary, but it depends on how aggressively the security extension is configured.

I’m glad to hear it’s working now.

Best regards
