Thank you for reaching out. I’m not able to reproduce the issue on my end — I just tested and the setting works as expected. Please note that the “Disable Canonical URLs” option only applies to the automatic canonicals generated by Route 66.
If you’ve set a custom canonical URL (via the Crawled Pages section or the SEO tab), that will still be applied regardless of this setting.
Otherwise, the canonicals you’re seeing may come from another extension, or you might be viewing a cached version of your site. Could you try clearing the cache and checking again?
