In the assessment to improve my site loading times i noticed there is something from Route66 that loads on every page between 500ms & 1000ms while the file only is 0.5kB.
Can someone tell what this exactly does and if there is a way to reduce load time?

The request you noticed is used by Route 66 to help discover the pages on your site that should be included in the crawling process. This allows the extension to correctly analyze and optimize your pages.
Please note that this request is loaded asynchronously, meaning it runs in the background and does not block or slow down your page rendering. Even though you can see it in the reports, it does not add to the actual loading time experienced by your visitors.
