Error con la nuevo version Route 2.0.0

Yes, custom URLs are fully supported in version 2.

If you have a file and database backup from before installing version 2.0 for the first time, you can safely install version 2.0.1 directly over 1.12.0.

If you don’t have such a backup — and since the downgrade attempt caused issues — I recommend following these steps for a clean upgrade:

1. Note down your current URL patterns.
2. Uninstall version 1.12.0.
3. Verify that no leftover Route 66 database tables remain. The uninstall process should remove them, but I suggest checking manually. If you find any tables starting with PREFIX_route66, delete them.
4. Install version 2.0.1.

If your backup also includes the database in the state it was before you first installed version 2, then yes — you can safely update to version 2.0.1, and the “Route 66 – Content” options (including the Article URL pattern and Category URL pattern) will still be there. 

If your backup doesn’t include the database in that state, I recommend following the steps I mentioned in my previous message to ensure everything works smoothly after the upgrade.

I’m not sure what the exact issue is with your setup, but as I mentioned earlier, the complete upgrade process for your case would be: 

1. Note down your current URL patterns.
2. Uninstall version 1.12.0.
3. Verify that no leftover Route 66 database tables remain. The uninstall process should remove them, but I suggest checking manually. If you find any tables starting with PREFIX_route66, delete them.
4. Install version 2.0.2.

Thank you for your message. Please note that Route 66 v2 requires Joomla 5.3 or later and PHP 8.2 or later in order to work properly. Could you please double-check that your environment meets these requirements?

Also, to better understand the error, I recommend enabling Joomla Debug (System > Global Configuration > System > Debug System). Once enabled, try to access the Options page again and provide me with the full error details shown. This will help us identify the issue more precisely.

Hello Sergio,

Thank you for checking this and sending the debug output. The error comes from the CodeMirror editor plugin in Joomla, not from Route 66 itself. Let’s try a couple of things to resolve it:

Go to System > Plugins, find the Editor - CodeMirror plugin, open it and simply click Save so that its options are stored again.
If you have more than one backend language installed, try switching to another language and then access the Route 66 Options page again.

This should help bypass the error coming from the CodeMirror plugin.
