Message 'No valid Image was loaded' - Econa custom fields plugin

Hi! Joomla 5.4.1 | PHP 8.4.14 | Econa 2.2.0
Econa custom field plugin -> Article
When I upload an image and crop / resize it I get an error (before saving):"No valid image was loaded."
The cropped version is also not displayed in the preview. The uploaded image is shown in the preview.After saving the article the cropped image IS shown. So the plugin is actually doing what it needs to do but the preview and the error message suggest something is wrong.
Is this a bug?

Thank you for reporting this.

Yes, this is a known issue caused by a change introduced in Joomla 5.4.1 affecting image handling during preview. We have already implemented a fix, and an update of Econa will be released very soon.

I wanted to let you know that Econa v2.2.1 has just been released, and it includes the fix for the image editing/cropping issue introduced in Joomla 5.4.1.

After installing the update, everything should function normally again.
