Hi Lefteris,
I'm using commentbox pro, but i am struggling to make it possible so visitors can post comments without registering.
I currently don't want it to be possible to register on my website so i disabled registration.
I tried allowing public and guests to create comments in the permissions tab but i still see the login message:
"Login to join the conversation and leave a comment"
Also when i make a comment with my superuser i can see the comment as visitor but when i click on the down/upvote or smiley icon, i'm redirected to the loginform.
I searched the documentation and tried to edit the text filter option in global config as well without result.
Can you tell me which steps are necessary so visitors can post comments?

Hi Tim,
Thank you for your message.
To allow visitors to post comments without registering, you only need to adjust the component permissions:
- Go to CommentBox → Options → Permissions.
- For the Guest user group, set Create Comments to Allow.
That’s all that’s required.
Please note: if any caching is enabled (Joomla cache, server-level cache, or a CDN), it may take a little time before the change becomes visible on the frontend.
Also, keep in mind that actions such as voting or adding reactions are only available to registered/logged-in users, so guests won’t be able to use those features.

Some beginner mistake by not clearing the cache after making a change. :)
