This release introduces new gallery layouts, PhotoSwipe 5 integration, support for Joomla modules inside lightbox slides, and several compatibility and data-handling fixes.

New features

• Added a grid layout for modules containing multiple galleries.
• Added a new PhotoSwipe 5 lightbox plugin.
• Added support for displaying Joomla modules as slides across compatible gallery lightboxes.

Improvements

• Updated database table creation to use utf8mb4, enabling full Unicode support, including emojis.

Bug fixes

• Fixed editor modal issues under Joomla 4, 5, and 6.

• Fixed incorrect gallery image paths on sites with a configured timezone offset.

  This issue affected the custom fields integration when adding images to existing galleries. The gallery date was already stored in UTC, but changing its field type from calendar to hidden prevented the server from recognizing it as a date. The timezone conversion was consequently applied twice, causing images to be saved in the wrong directory.

  The field now uses the calendar type while remaining visually hidden. This restores the expected local-to-UTC conversion and ensures images are stored in the correct path.

• Joomla 5 native: Showtime Image Gallery now is a Joomla 5 native extension. This means it does not need the compatibility plugin anymore in order to work under Joomla 5.x series. The extension is also compatible with Joomla 3.x and Joomla 4.x series.
