#660 – Sitemap and Menus

 I installed the Pro Version of Route 66 but seem to have a few issues

1. When I generate the sitemap, I added the Menu name, but when I generate the sitemap, the only entry is

<sitemap>
<loc>https://dragoncreative.co.uk/component/route66/sitemap/1/menus?format=xml</loc>
</sitemap>
</sitemapindex>

In addition, I want the sitemap in the route directory.

2. When using SEO Analysis for my menuitems, is there a way to generate the menuitems from the menu (like Jsitemap pro) and to save the entries, otherwise you have to keep entering the details for each menu item every time

Hi Philip,

This is a sitemap index. A sitemap index contains several sitemaps. All you have to do is submit the sitemap index URL to Google Search Console, it knows how to handle it.
In case you want to access the actual sitemap for some reason then this is https://dragoncreative.co.uk/component/route66/sitemap/1/menus?format=xml .
The sitemaps are generated dynamically and they have to pass through the Route 66 component you can't have the sitemap located in the root of your site. This is not a static XML file.
