#447 – sitemap re ticket #407 – Sitemap URL returns 404

hi. i had to let some time pass to see if this was working as it just shows this when i generate a sitemap (after deactivating cookie 537 plugin)

however, when i view the sitemap details in google search console it says success....

/component/route66/sitemapindex/1?format=xml Sitemap index 2 Jul 2019 10 Aug 2019 Success 148

is that ok??

if i use seo website audit tools they All tell me there is NO sitemap for the site.

Hi,

Yes this is how it should be. The first link is a sitemap index. It actually contains links to the sitemaps. Google can read it without any problem. You can verify it at the Google search console . Just look at the “Coverage” section there.
