No, K2 item title may contain characters that are invalid for URLs. That's why alias is used. This is the way that all Joomla extensions work. Alias is a URL safe version of the title.

Sure but I have a problem with K2 Articles having the same names in different K2 Categories, so K2 is adding a number to the item alias. I was using Artio JomSef and it was possible to use ItemName instead of itemAlias.
OK I checked and even Artio JomSef was using itemAlias. Sorry about this :(
