#1137 – Joomla 5 compatibility

 Hi there,

Pre-Update Check for Joomla ‎5.0.1 shows that "System - Route 66" and "System - Route 66 Google PageSpeed" have Potential Upgrade Issues. What to do?

Hi Remco,

All our extensions work perfectly with Joomla 5 as long as you have the plugin "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" enabled. This is a core Joomla plugin and is enabled by default in Joomla 5.
I am not sure why Pre-Update Check shows this message. I recommend to update Route 66 first and then upgrade to Joomla 5. I also recommend to backup your site first before upgrading to Joomla 5.

What is the roadmap for full compatibility without "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" plugin?

There is no specific timeline but we want the next updates of our extensions to work without that plugin. So stay tuned, it will not take long.
