#886 – Unable to remove or edit a galery in the article content (backend)

Joomla ‎4.1.2 | PHP 8.0.17 | Showtime 1.5.1

Hi! When we use the editor button to add an existing galery to an article (in the backend) that works OK. But after placing it we can not use the edit or remove button (top right) of the galery in the article. Is this a bug?

Hi Jip,

Probably you just have to update Showtime Image Gallery to its latest version (1.5.6 at the moment).
Just tested under Joomla 4.1.2 and it worked fine for me. I checked both JCE and TinyMCE. Which editor are you using?

Your right, we did not have the latest version. Sorry about that. I updated to the latest version. Now the delete button works OK. But the Edit button does not. I see this console error:

We use the JCE editor.

Any thoughts?

Hi! I have downloaded and installed the version you send me. But the edit button on the galery still does nothing and produces the error I mentioned before.

I am not able to reproduce the issue. I am using the free JCE (version 2.9.22). What's your JCE version?
It would be very helpful if you could give me access to your site so I can check your setup. In that case please remember to create a new private ticket.
