#431 – Gallery name based on article title when saved in article?

Hi! I noticed that the gallery title is a random number/string when a gallery is created within an article and later viewed in the component. Maybe it would be helpful for users to add (part of / beginning of) the article title of the article the gallery is placed in? Or would that not be possible?

I guess this would only be possible after the article is at least saved once? And what would happen if the article title changed? because the gallery title can be edited in the component you might not want to override it when the article (tile) changes... So maybe the article title would only be used: When it exists (article is saved) and only once.

The idea behind this: It would be easier to identify galleries in the component that are created directly in the articles.

The feature you are asking for is already there. Navigate to Showtime Image Gallery -> Options and under the "Advanced" tab you can enable the title field for both custom fields and in text galleries.
