#236 – Conflict with other plugin

I would like use plugin mavikThumb, but there is conflict with Show time gallery:
Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. is there posibility simply solution?

Hi,

The error is coming straight from the mavikThumb plugin so there is nothing to do on our side. In addition to this, the plugin is trying to resize the gallery thumbnails. This is unnecessary since the gallery thumbnails are already resized by Showtime Image Gallery.

Finally, resizing images during page load is a really bad practice. Can make your site slow or even take it down if you have a lot of images.

If you want to hide the warning try to go to Joomla global configuration and set error reporting to "none". Otherwise just report the issue to the mavikThumb developers and they will fix it.

I recommend to ask the mavikThumb developers to fix this. Hiding the warning is not a solution.
