#106 – Showtime image gallery JCE editing problem

Status: Closed - Category: Showtime Image Gallery
Hi,
I have a problem with Showtime gallery editing with JCE.

The first time I create the gallery all works as expected, but if I edit the gallery again, then strange things start to happen (duplicated galleries, gallery inside gallery ...)
See the video to see what I mean:

I use JCE Editor Pro 2.6.26

Hi,

Probably something has changed in the latest version of JCE. We will look into it. Until this is fixed you can switch to TinyMCE.
Thank you for reporting.

Hi
Ok, I know I can use Tiny mce, but my customers use JCE. I hope there will be a solution soon.
I discovered also another problem with IE 11 - default layout. If the resolution is small enough, then the pictures overlap instead of shrinking.
See your demo page for instance:

Hi,

We are already working on the JCE fix. We will also troubleshoot the IE issue so the next update fixes both issues. We will release the update as soon as possible the fix is ready.
Thank you for your valuable feedback.

Hi again,

We tested our demo page using the latest Edge browser. We used compatibility mode in the browser debugger to test IE11 and everything seems to work fine.
Can you please provide the exact version of IE that the issue occurs? We also prefixed our CSS so testing now our demo page may work for you.

Hi.
Compatibility mode in Edge doesn't work ok.
Please open Internet explorer. It is part of Windows 10 also. Just open the start menu and begin to type Internet Explorer.

Hi,

We have resolved the JCE issue but we are unable to reproduce the IE issue. We will work more on this and we will release an update in the following days.

Hi, I don't know how you test IE11:

You can also use the cross Browser testing web page:

Hi,

It seems that there is a bug in IE11 when using nested flexbox. You will have to update your CSS if you want to support IE11. Just copy the file /media/showtime/css/default.css to /templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/showtime/default.css. Then edit the new file and remove the width and min-width from the .showtime-default .showtime-image selector. Of course, you can even write your own CSS rules and add media queries to customize the display. If you are not familiar with CSS please let me know so I provide detailed instructions.

Hi, when will the release, that resolves the JCE issue be ready for download?

Regards
Hi,

We will release an update in the next few days. We are working on some nice layout options so you can have more control over the carousel and wall layouts.

Also would it be possible to auto resize the uploaded pictures?
Now when the users upload pictures, the thumbnails are small, but the big pictures have original size.

Edit: Ignore this message. I had the Main Image Height set to 0 and it didn't work :).

I'm still waiting for the new version ...
