#1009 – hacking with js files in a route66 script directory?

Status: Closed - Category: Route 66
Hello
A site was blocked at Hostinger because the number of allowed inodes was exceeded.
I see that in the route66> scripts directory there are 108927 files with a size of 311MB
Could this be a hack? I've been a bit late in upgrading to 4.2.8!

If so how can I solve the problem? How can I solve the problem? Would deleting and reinstalling route66 solve it?
Regards
Hi,

Just make sure that you are using a recent version of Route 66, since this was an issue of the old versions. After that just delete the scripts folder. It should not get that large again.
Please let me know if that solves your issue.

Hello
Thank you for your reply. It's not a hack?
I renamed the old folder and created a new "scripts" folder; it is slowly filling up.
1 day later it is ~ 1,5Mb - 500 files
For a small site, how many files should I expect?
Is it deleted periodically?
Regards
It's not a hack. In this directory Route 66 keeps the combined javascript files of your site.
If you don't want this you can set the "Javascript Optimization Method" to "Inline" under Route 66 options. Or you can disable the javascript optimization completely.

Hi
Ok I changed the setting to avoid further problems.
Thank you
