#946 – PHP warning econa fields plugin

Status: Closed - Category: Econa
Hi!

We have a cron job that triggers the Joomla smart search indexer CLI script, and the email we get from this script now reports us:

Warning: Undefined property: stdClass::$extension in /home/intradef01/domains/intranet.defonteinzwolle.nl/public_html/plugins/fields/econa/econa.php on line 180

We are on Joomla 3 and PHP 8.0 on this site.

Kind regards,
Jip
Hi Jip,

Just took a look at the code, this indicates that the extension property does not exist in the JSON value of a field.
Do you have any data produced out of the CLI script? The extension property should always be present in the JSON value, unless there is an issue with the plugin.

Regards

This CLI script triggers an indexation of content for the smart search (finder) in Joomla (3). We get an email at the end with some listing of indexed articles. Some of those listings have the error message I mentioned. I have already deleted the mail, but I will get a new one tomorrow I expect.

Not sure what you are asking, but the email is the output we get. In this email the warning shows up serverla times. Probably for all articvles that use (or have a value) in the econa field plugin.

I do believe we have some other sites that als index every night and they also use the econa plugin. So maybe I can figure out why the one sites has this error and others don't. I will try to monitor this.

We do plan to update to Joola 4 on all sites so maybe this won;t be an issue anyymore at that point.
I think that you will get the same warnings under Joomla 4. However I was not able to reproduce the issue.
I will keep an eye on this. Thank you for reporting.

Regards
